Before class
Below are the items I had prepared for class today.
Flowcharts
Above are pictures of my flowcharts. After the reading I tried my best to map out two tasks and how they would be done on my app, sharing a schedule and adding an event. I am not sure if I including everything necessary but I did my best to base it off the book examples.
Wireframes
Above is my six wireframe sketches. I sketched out a login screen, a possible calendar (home screen), a view of the side bar, another type of calendar view (showing schedule), sharing page and another schedule variation.
Icon Change
The only change to the icon was that I enlarged the plane. This allowed it to be more visible at smaller sizes and show the depth.
Persona Evolution

Final Design
Above is the final persona design. I took the map artwork I created for my logo and used it as a background pattern. I used the dashed line because I felt like it spoke to travel and almost a where you have been or will go. I took all of the colors from my icon design. I also transferred some of my information into pie chart graphic so the information could be easily viewed. Also during this redesign I adding a secondary typeface that I am using for my headers, it is a slab serif called Geared Slab that works well with my sans serif typeface.
Branding Matrice Changes
The only changes to these is the updated of the header copy.
During/After Class
During class today I was able to meet with professor Pannafino and talk about my flow charts and overall app design. First there is a few small changes to documents seen in the beginning of this post;
- Persona
- bullet points for the goals section
- for the pie graph make the lines white and align the text around it
- choose a facebox picture
- Icon
- try a few different backgrounds
- gradient/ pattern
- white
During class I did have the opportunity to use the POP app (paper prototyping app) on my android device. I took individual pictures of my wireframes then within the app and was able to create click throughs and prototype it to help explain my app during the meeting.
